about the role
Sales Associates are at the heart of our in-store experience. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll spend most of your time on the shop floor or in stockrooms, helping things run smoothly for both customers and your team.- You’ll work a mix of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. No two days are the same. You’ll stay active, keep a good pace, and make sure every customer has a great experience. A typical day starts with a quick check-in with your manager so you know what's most important, then it's out onto the shop floor ready for the day ahead.
- You'll bring your best to every interaction, support your team, and help create a friendly, welcoming experience for customers. You will work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends. No two days are the same, and you will thrive by staying energized, keeping a strong pace and delivering great customer service every time.
- A typical day starts with connecting with your manager to understand your priorities, then heading onto the shop floor ready to make a difference. You will bring your best self to every interaction while supporting your team and creating a welcoming environment for customers.
On the shop floor
You'll help keep your area looking great by making sure products are easy to find, well stocked, and ready to shop. It's all about paying attention to the details and creating a great experience for customers.
At the tills and self-checkout
You’ll help keep things moving at checkout, making transactions quick and easy. Whether you’re on the till or helping at self-checkout, you’ll step in when needed and keep it friendly.
In the fitting rooms
You'll be there to help customers, keep things organized, and make sure everything runs smoothly. From managing the space to answering questions, you'll help create a positive and welcoming experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO DAY-TO-DAY
Everything you do helps create a great experience for our customers, making every visit easy, enjoyable, and memorable.
- Help customers find what they are looking for, from the right size to styles they love
- Keep checkout quick and accurate, handling purchases and returns
- Keep the shop floor well stocked, clean, and easy to shop
- Bring new products onto the floor and make sure everything is priced accurately
- Work with your team to set up displays across the store
- Support sales with add-ons like reusable bags and simple customer feedback moments
- Take pride in the store by keeping every area tidy

On the day of your interview, head to the register and let a colleague in a blue Primark shirt know you're there for an interview. They'll let the manager know you've arrived.

During the interview, we’ll chat about your experience, the role, and answer any questions you have.
