What You’ll Do as a Fabric Manager  

As Fabric Manager, based in Pakistan, you will act as Primark’s fabric expert within one of our key sourcing markets, driving fabric sourcing, development, innovation, and supplier performance across our regional supply chain.

Working closely with fabric mills, garment manufacturers, and Primark's Buying, Design, Quality, Sustainability, and Sourcing teams, you will identify, develop, and commercialise fabrics that meet Primark's standards for quality, value, sustainability, innovation, and speed to market.

You will leverage your deep understanding of the local textile market to build strong supplier partnerships, identify new material opportunities, drive fabric engineering and cost optimisation initiatives, and ensure fabric development programmes are executed efficiently. As the regional fabric lead, you will act as a key bridge between local suppliers and global stakeholders, providing market intelligence, trend insights, and technical expertise to support Primark's product and sourcing strategies.

• Lead fabric sourcing strategies across Pakistan and regional supply markets, delivering the best balance of quality, cost, speed, sustainability, and innovation.
• Build and manage strong partnerships with fabric mills, yarn suppliers, and garment manufacturers to support multiple product categories.
• Drive fabric development and innovation by identifying new materials, technologies, finishes, and fibre solutions that enhance product performance and customer appeal.
• Partner closely with Buying, Design, Product Development, and Sourcing teams to deliver seasonal fabric solutions aligned to business and customer needs.
• Manage supplier performance, capability assessments, and commercial negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and consistent delivery against Primark standards.
• Oversee end-to-end fabric development and production readiness, resolving quality, technical, and supply chain challenges to achieve right-first-time execution.
• Champion sustainable and responsible material sourcing, ensuring compliance with Primark's traceability, ethical trade, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Act as the regional fabric expert, providing market intelligence, trend insights, and supplier innovation while supporting the implementation of global fabric strategies across the supply base.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in fabric sourcing, fabric development, textile manufacturing, or materials management within the apparel and textile industry.
• Strong knowledge of woven, knit, denim, jersey, outerwear, and performance fabric categories, with understanding of fibre, yarn, dyeing, finishing, and fabric manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience working directly with fabric mills and garment manufacturers in Pakistan and sourcing markets.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in cost negotiation and supplier management.
• Experience supporting fabric development from concept through bulk production.
• Good understanding of sustainability, traceability, compliance, and responsible sourcing requirements within the textile industry.
• Degree qualification in Textile Technology, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical capability, including interpreting fabric cost structures, supplier performance metrics, and market trends.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
• Fluency in English and local language preferred.
