What You’ll Do as Share Plan & Governance Manager

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

  • Share Plan Administration: Manage the end-to-end administration of Primark's global share plans, ensuring all awards and transactions are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with plan rules.
  • Governance & Compliance: Maintain strong governance and controls, ensuring compliance with tax, legal, regulatory, accounting and corporate governance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Share Trust & Provider Management: Oversee share trust operations and manage relationships with external providers, trustees and brokers to ensure high-quality service delivery and effective plan execution.
  • Payroll, Finance & Data Management: Partner with Payroll, Finance and other key stakeholders to manage share plan data, reconciliations, reporting and the accurate processing of taxable and financial events.
  • Executive Reward Governance: Coordinate key Executive Reward activities, including remuneration governance, incentive programmes, performance cycles and Remuneration Committee processes.
  • Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expert share plan support, enhance participant experience and drive continuous improvement across processes, systems and controls.

What You’ll Bring

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:

  • At least 6 years' experience administering and governing employee share plans within a multinational organisation or professional advisory environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of share plan taxation, accounting, payroll and regulatory requirements, ideally supported by a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing relationships with share plan providers, trustees, brokers and payroll teams, alongside excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, with an understanding of global share plan operations and the tax and payroll implications of internationally mobile employees.
  • Solid knowledge of UK PLC reporting and governance requirements, including Directors' Remuneration Reporting (DRR) and executive reward disclosure obligations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and project management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, manage competing priorities and drive continuous process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Excited? Good. Because it’s energising to put your skills to work, in a growing global business committed to encouraging people to express themselves – and feel a sense of belonging. Apply to be part of Primark’s future, today… and enjoy career growth, our way.
