What You’ll Do as Project Co-ordinator GPOS Controls

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Support the successful delivery of Global Point of Sale (GPOS) Controls by coordinating complex project activities, driving planning excellence, and ensuring strong governance and delivery discipline.
  • Prepare governance reporting packs, track project status, risks, issues, and dependencies, capture meeting minutes, and monitor completion of actions.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project and programme plans, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables, ensuring accurate updates in Planisware and POAP formats.
  • Proactively identify, track, and escalate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies through a centrally managed RAID log aligned across workstreams.
  • Operate structured change control processes, maintaining change request logs and managing impacts to scope, timeline, and approvals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to workstream leads, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement through automation (e.g., Copilot) and lessons learned.

What You’ll Bring  

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: 

  • 2–5 years of experience supporting technology‑enabled transformation programmes, with a strong grasp of software delivery lifecycles, project management methodologies, and emerging technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience using project management and delivery tools such as Planisware, Jira, or Microsoft Project, alongside data analysis and reporting tools including Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical and financial information to both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, enabling effective identification of issues and development of practical solutions in fast‑paced environments.
  • Proven planning, organisation, and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and deliver to agreed timescales.
  • Collaborative team player with the confidence to challenge constructively, complemented by desirable experience in Retail domains (e.g. Supply Chain, Digital, Store Operations) and project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, APM, Scrum Master, or SAFe.
